Last night was a truly special evening and very proud moment for all the Wardle Family as Alex received a posthumous honorary degree from University of Portsmouth. Alex was a dedicated and enthusiastic medical student. Having already completed a degree in Biomedical Sciences at University of West of England he went on to continue his studies in Therapeutic Radiography at University of Portsmouth who yesterday invited the Family to Portsmouth Guildhall where Gemma collected, on behalf of Alex with a posthumous honorary degree in BSc Heathcare Science. It was a night the family had been looking forward to for months and marked another chapter in the story of Alex’s legacy.
Here’s what Gemma had to say on the night;
“Today I got to stand alongside all the other students in the School of Health Sciences and Social Work and it was a great honor to collect a posthumous award for Alex. He had a great passion for radiography and I hope I have done him proud. Thank you and a big well done to my new found friends through radiography. I hope you go out into the world and into hospitals with competence and confidence. Always remember to smile and live your best life everyday. All my love, from Gemma”
Congratulations to Alex and a big well done to Gemma!
